Information for prospective new members

Formed in 1974 the Probus Club of Chepstow is a friendly group of retired men from generally business and professional backgrounds with a wealth of knowledge and experience. As with other Probus groups within the United Kingdom and across the world we are autonomous; we set our own rules and programme. We are an English language club with 40+ members from Chepstow, Caldicot and the Forest of Dean. Currently, we have an annual subscription of £30.00 and an entrance fee of £5.00 per meeting, to help cover costs of a raffle prize, coffee and speakers etc.

If you’re looking to enjoy the convivial camaraderie of like-minded individuals, relish a chat over coffee, and delve into stimulating and educational talks, then look no further — come and join us! You will find us on alternate Tuesdays at Chepstow Rugby Club. Whilst our meetings start at 10:30 you will find many of us there from 10:00 catching up with friends.

Our talks feature an eclectic mix of speakers, covering a broad range of topics. Some will educate, others will entertain, and occasionally, they’ll make you ponder. Above all, they promise to be enjoyable. Details of our future programme can be found here.

As well as Rugby Club meetings many of us gather at The Two Rivers in Chepstow on alternate Tuesday mornings for a coffee and lively discussions on various topics. Our regular Spring and Christmas lunches are a chance to enjoy a social get together with members and their guests. 

The day to day running of the Club is overseen by the Management Committee.
